Meet Our Pack

SILA's Siberian Husky pack has always played a key role in our company.

As SILA celebrates our 15th year of business in the Canadian Arctic we also salute our history sharing life, business and recreational time with our Siberian Huskies. SILA's pack is free-spirited, good natured, independent and born to run.

Each member of our pack has the ability to use his or her intelligence in clever ways to suit a purpose.

Sakku, (Inuktitut language meaning "Harpoon Head" or "Bullet") is SILA's Arctic Princess. She lived in Iqaluit, NU for many years and blizzards could not stare her down. Now approaching twelve years old, she still tutors her pack how to be an Arctic husky everyday.

Atii, (Inuktitut language meaning "Let's Go") is a big strong male in his prime. Powerful, yet gentle and devoted to keeping Robbin safe. Like other relatives in his blood line, he is a disciplinarian. He likes order and watches over his Sakku, the female that raised and still guides him.

Atuk, (Inuktitut language meaning "Grandfather") is now in his second year. This young male is a nephew of Atii and truly lives each day to the fullest, at full speed ahead. His one blue and one brown eye each have a personality, one affection and the other devious.

Arluk, (Inuktitut language meaning "Killer Whale") was a loving, loyal and gentle Siberian Husky. He enjoyed a wonderful canine life and was commonly known as VP during the early years of SILA. Arluk, the Arctic Hero, now runs free on the Tundra everyday.
